Maxillary sinus lift techniques
There are two main techniques for performing sinus lifts, each indicated according to the amount of bone available:

Types of techniques
Open (lateral) sinus lift technique
Used when the bone need is very large (we have less than 5mm of bone) and we need to place a lot of bone in the area. It is done by lifting the mucosa, making a small perforation in the maxillary sinus bone and then carefully detaching the mucosa to place synthetic bone in that space. It is sutured and bone consolidation is awaited.
Closed (atraumatic) sinus lift technique
This technique is less traumatic than the previous one and is the one we use at ENIQ. We develop it with dynamic guided navigation, so the patient has bone without any type of trauma. A small hole is made in the sinus and the bone is injected through there. Consolidation is awaited in about 6 months. In some cases, it is done the same day the implant is placed to save the patient multiple surgical interventions.
The accuracy provided by dynamic guided navigation used at ENIQ makes it a very precise, non-bothersome, and non-invasive treatment, being covered with the mucosa itself without the need for tremendous surgeries.
Treatment duration
The time needed to complete treatment depends on the technique used and patient conditions:

How many appointments are needed for a maxillary sinus lift?
Traumatic lateral technique
A minimum of 6 months of bone stabilization phase must be awaited before placing the implant.
Atraumatic technique (ENIQ)
If the atraumatic technique is used, which requires at least 5mm of bone, the implant could even be placed at the same time, significantly reducing the total treatment time.
At ENIQ, thanks to our atraumatic technique with guided navigation, we can optimize times and in many cases place the implant the same day as the sinus lift.
Advantages of sinus lifts
Maxillary sinus lifts offer multiple benefits when performed correctly:

What are the advantages of sinus lifts?
Relatively simple intervention
It is a relatively simple intervention as long as it is performed by a qualified professional with experience in implantology.
Simultaneous implant placement
The implant could be placed at the same time, as long as conditions allow, reducing the number of interventions.
Avoids more aggressive techniques
We avoid zygomatic implants, which is a more aggressive and complex surgical technique.
Predictable and lasting solution
Allows placement of conventional implants with very high success rates, offering a fixed and permanent solution.
Sinus lift is a proven technique that allows rehabilitation of areas of the upper jaw that otherwise could not receive dental implants, avoiding more invasive solutions.
What is the success rate of maxillary sinus lifts?
What is the price of a sinus lift?
Maxillary sinus lift
High-end implant
High-end implant from Straumann group, healing screws, prosthetic abutment, transepithelials, high-end zirconium crown with 3D technology, CT radiodiagnostic tests and guided navigation application for precise, sutureless, incision-free and above all painless surgery is €1800.
